SFU Vancouver at Harbour Centre opened in 1989, the city's first downtown university campus. A feature of the main floor is the Teck Gallery positioned at the north end of the concourse with spectacular views of the north shore mountains.
SFU wished to create a custom designed gallery environment in which to display a collection of Asian artifacts belonging to an anonymous donor. The University commissioned ravendesign.ca to produce a

series of design options to show the benefactor how the existing Harbour Centre gallery might be remodeled. The design objective was to convey a strong sense of Asian influence while retaining the very successful design parti developed for the downtown campus.
