COPIA, American Centre for Wine, Food and the Arts is a non profit discovery centre in the Napa Valley, envisioned by Robert Mondavi and his wife to educate adults and children to the joys of living well. Created to celebrate and explore the abundance and diversity of fine food and wine, the centre includes a permanent living exhibition, Edible Gardens.

BC Hot House is a hugely successful grower of quality vegetables for local and export markets, exploiting hydroponic, pesticide-free techniques in 'soil-less' glass greenhouse environments - hence the tag line

"Grown in the Great Indoors". The organization approached ravendesign.ca to create a concept design for a pavilion to be located in the exhibition garden. The design concept was to utilize the purity of the pyramid form situated above a large reflecting pool as a symbol of the actual growing process used by BC Hot House.
